Most of our benches and chairs are manufactured in the Eastern Hemisphere from locally forested, fast growing solid hardwood called Rubberwood or Beachwood. The joints of the chairs and stools are all hand-fitted and well glued together.
We choose Rubberwood because of its strength, fine close grain and smooth texture. In addition to its own natural beauty, when finished, Rubberwood readily accepts stain to resemble other, often more expensive hardwoods.
Our entire range of European style chairs are supplied with hand woven rush seats. These are perfectly comfortable but if you prefer, you can request for upholstered seats or add tie-on cushions.
